About the Museum
Discover the story of Sheringham and its proud, brave and independent people, told through beautiful displays packed with interesting things to see, hear and do. Step inside stunning galleries and walk amongst Sheringham’s extraordinary historic fleet of lifeboats and fishing boats. The Mo - 'a place for people and boats' is an Independent Museum that has benefited from a large award from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Museum was opened in 2010 by HRH The Duke of Kent. Sheringham Museum Norfolk Trust Ltd has appointed Directors who are responsible for the development and operation of the Museum, including the appointment of the Manager and other staff. A body of Trustees are responsible for the ownership and care of the exhibits. The Museum was accredited by the MLA in 2010.
